Key Responsibilities
Reporting through to the Data Analytics and Reporting Lead, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Build and maintain interactive reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights.
- Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and model data from multiple sources.
- Develop and optimise data models for performance and usability.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support and train end users to promote data literacy and self-service analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting outputs.
- Document data definitions, lineage, and reporting methodologies.
- Continuously improve reporting processes and stay up to date with BI tools and trends.
- Contribute to the growth of the organisation’s analytics capability and data strategy.
About You
- Minimum three years of experience in business intelligence or analytics roles within financial services or asset finance.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance or a STEM-related field.
- Advanced SQL capability, including writing, optimising, and troubleshooting complex queries.
- Strong Power BI skills across data modelling, DAX, visualisation, and report design.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate in complex or unfamiliar business environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, supported by curiosity, resilience, and a growth mindset.
- An understanding of data warehouse concepts and ETL/orchestration tools (e.g. Fabric, Azure Data Factory) and/or exposure to Python or R.
