Meet our management team

Ian has nearly 35 years of experience in the financial services sector, with a wide-ranging expertise that includes Asset Finance, Premium Funding, Securitisation, Superannuation, Asset Management, and Financial Planning. His passion lies in building successful businesses and leading teams to success through clarity, empowerment, and support.

Prior to joining Vestone Capital, Ian was the CFO/COO of an insurance premium funding business, Macquarie Pacific Funding/IQumulate, for 6 years. During his tenure, he led the business in separating from Macquarie and oversaw the securitisation of its loan book in 2020.

Before this, Ian spent 18 years in various roles at MLC Ltd, primarily as the Head of Finance of business units in areas such as Asset Management and Financial Planning. He also played a key role in setting up two joint ventures – the medical finance business, Medfin, and a corporate superannuation provider, Plum Financial Services.

Ian is originally from rural New South Wales and currently resides in Sydney with his family. He values family life and enjoys spending time with his 3 daughters. In his leisure time, he is passionate about traveling and describes himself as a golf tragic.

Ian’s wealth of experience in the financial sector, combined with his dedication to building successful businesses and leading teams, has positioned him as a trusted CEO and a valuable contributor to the finance industry.

Kunihiro was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in April 2023.  Kunihiro supports Vestone Capital’s CEO and leadership team to enable the business to meet its strategic priorities, whilst acting as a director of the company.  He is also responsible for developing relationships with Japanese companies in Australia.

With over 35 years of experience in the banking and leasing industry, Kunihiro is able to draw on Mitsubishi HC Capital’s long history of the global finance and leasing industry and diverse customer base to support Vestone Capital’s sustainable growth ambitions.

Prior to joining Vestone Capital, Kunihiro was a Managing Executive Officer and Head of Infrastructure Business of Mitsubishi HC Capital.  Prior to this he had worked at MUFG Bank including the aggregate of 12 years overseas assignment in Singapore, London and New York where his background was project finance.

Kunihiro was born and raised in Saitama, Japan.  He loves traveling and driving cars.  He is looking forward to traveling and driving in Australia with his family.

Wendy has over 20 years of financial services experience. She has held technical risk and capital management roles within CBA and ING and worked as a Senior Risk Advisor to financial services and corporate clients whilst working at PwC and Deloitte.

More recently, Wendy was the Chief Risk Officer of the ASX listed Thorn Group Limited and Finstro. There, she established risk and compliance teams consisting of business, risk and compliance advisors who enhanced and protected the company values.

Wendy was born in Hong Kong and moved to Australia with her family as a child. She enjoys travelling and learning about different cultures through food.

Marc has extensive experience in operational management, with over 15 years in the finance and leasing sectors and a particular focus on creating a seamless customer experience. As an experienced leader, Marc drives new initiatives from inception through to implementation and promotes engagement to empower his team to achieve their potential.

Marc has worked in various roles within Macquarie Group. He led the development of an innovative receivables business-to-business lending product, which provided liquidity to SME’s and promoted customer retention for Enterprise clients. Marc was also the stream lead for several group acquisitions, most notably the transition of the wholesale portfolio from Esanda (ANZ) to Macquarie.

Marc enjoys exploring the great outdoors and has travelled around Australia with his wife and kids. He leads an active lifestyle with his family, including as a committee member for his local AFL club, and enjoys running and cycling.

Anthony has over 25 years of leasing experience across a wide range of equipment types from ‘all things technology’ through to energy assets, yellow goods and medical equipment. His history includes working within large Australian banks and other financing organisations providing customers with leasing products to suit their unique requirements.

Prior to joining Vestone Capital, Anthony spent 14 years at Macquarie within both the Enterprise and Flow leasing businesses. He oversaw record originations, substantial referral partner growth and implemented tailored ‘as a service’ finance models during this time.

Anthony is Sydney born, lives on the Northern Beaches and can be found paddling his surf ski off the coast and within the harbour.

Dearne has extensive expertise advising senior executives and leadership groups on the full range of Human Resources matters. With a commercial and pragmatic approach, Dearne has developed the reputation of a proven senior Human Resources professional with a track record of excellent judgement, integrity and building trusted relationships.

Dorit has over 20 years of experience in IT, working in both professional services and with clients, focusing on enterprise applications architecture and implementation. Prior to joining Vestone Capital, Dorit headed CRM technology at Barrenjoey after having spent nearly a decade at Smartgroup Corporation (ASX listed), leading customer facing technologies and delivering the technology strategy through a major digital transformation in a multi-branded environment.

Originally from Israel, Dorit moved to Australia in 2009 with her family and is passionate about delivering simple technology solutions as well as fostering a great working culture.

Prior to joining Vestone Capital, Christine spent 15 years with Macquarie Bank’s Specialised Asset Finance Division predominantly within the Equipment Finance businesses which evolved into Vestone Capital in March 2021 following the joint venture between Macquarie Group and Mitsubishi HC Capital. During her tenure at Macquarie, Christine gained a wealth of experience in the provision of asset finance and asset management solutions, spanning a diverse spectrum of industries and customer sectors ranging from SMEs to large Corporate and Government entities. Christine was responsible for the proficient structuring and delivery of asset finance programs to customers and channel partners, managing portfolio pricing and leading key projects & initiatives that facilitated growth and strategic outcomes for the business.

Outside of her professional life, Christine enjoys embracing the great outdoors with family and friends, adopting a healthy lifestyle, staying active and finds fulfilment in the warmth of good food, wine, and company.
