One of the most rewarding parts of our partnership with Greenfleet is seeing the real-world impact of the forests we’re helping to restore.
Recently, members of the Vestone Capital team joined Greenfleet supporters at the Lucas Heights Conservation Area in New South Wales for a hands-on native planting day, giving employees the opportunity to see firsthand the impact of the forests they’re helping to restore.
Getting Hands-On at Lucas Heights
Located on Dharawal Country, just 45 minutes from Sydney, the Lucas Heights Conservation Area is a Sutherland Shire Council site being restored with native vegetation to support local wildlife, including the iconic black cockatoo.
Vestone Capital has supported restoration efforts at Lucas Heights for several years, making this planting day a special opportunity to witness the site’s remarkable progress. Team members rolled up their sleeves and contributed directly to the ongoing restoration, helping create habitat that will benefit native species for generations to come.
The event provided a unique chance to connect with nature while gaining a deeper understanding of how native reforestation contributes to biodiversity, ecosystem resilience, and climate action.
Welcoming the Greenfleet Team to Vestone Capital
Ahead of the planting day, we were delighted to welcome Greenfleet Business Development Manager Scott Sheridan and Senior Partnerships Manager Jacqui Mier to our Sydney office.
During the session, Scott and Jacqui shared updates on the native forests Vestone Capital is helping restore and provided valuable insights into Greenfleet’s broader environmental work across Australia.
These discussions helped bring climate action to life for our team, providing a tangible connection between our partnership and the real-world environmental outcomes it supports.

Supporting the Restoration of Magpie Lane
We are also proud to support Greenfleet’s newest restoration project, Magpie Lane, located on Waveroo Country in Victoria’s Reedy Creek Catchment, north-east of Beechworth.
The project will extend existing native vegetation and wildlife habitat while building on the revegetation efforts already undertaken by the local landholders.
Through planting and seeding locally native species, Greenfleet is restoring important ecosystem communities, including Grassy Dry Forest and Valley Grassy Forest. As the forest matures, it will provide critical habitat for wildlife such as koalas, wombats, kangaroos and a diverse range of native bird species.
Magpie Lane also forms part of the Victorian Government’s BushBank Program, with Greenfleet working alongside Cassinia Environmental to deliver the restoration project.
