Vestone Capital is now an AFIA Code Member.

Vestone Capital is pleased to announce that we are now a member of the Australian Finance Industry Association’s (AFIA) Finance Industry Code of Practice.

The AFIA Finance Industry Code of Practice is Australia’s first Code of Practice for non-bank and specialist lending. Commencing on 1 October 2026, it establishes clear standards for finance providers across consumer, small business and specialist finance. The Code is independently monitored by the Finance Industry Code Compliance Committee.

Becoming an AFIA Code Member reflects Vestone Capital’s commitment to responsible finance, transparent communication and positive outcomes for our customers and partners.

Raising standards across the finance industry

AFIA represents Australia’s diverse finance industry and works to help shape a financial system that supports people, businesses and communities.

Its Finance Industry Code of Practice has been developed to promote high standards of conduct across the non-bank lending sector. The Code covers important areas including:

  • Clear and transparent information about finance products, terms and fees
  • Fair and ethical conduct
  • Support for customers experiencing financial difficulty or vulnerability
  • Protection against scams and fraud
  • Responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence
  • Privacy, security and data protection
  • Prompt and effective complaints handling
  • Access to external dispute resolution

Together, these commitments are designed to strengthen customer protections, support consistent industry practices and build greater trust in finance.

Becoming a Code Member is an important milestone for Vestone Capital, but it is also an ongoing commitment. We look forward to continuing to embed the Code’s principles across our organisation and working with AFIA, our people and our partners to deliver positive outcomes for the customers and businesses we support.
